Rated 5 out of 5 by Amari’s Mommy from Comfort for baby, safety reassurance for Mommy My daughter absolutely loves her Mamaroo, but when we first got it, she was far too small and kept sliding down in the seat, no matter how tight the seatbelt was. I found the Newborn Insert, and installed it as soon as it arrived. She’s much more comfortable, and almost instantly settles down whenever I put her in the swing. I’m happy to say that she doesn’t slide down in the seat anymore either, and now we can sit her upright so she can see us walking around downstairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jesilyn from Newborn insert for the MamaRoo I wish I knew when I registered for the MamaRoo, that I should register for the newborn insert as well. It was not until my son was born and I set him in it that I realized he was not yet supported the way he should be and the insert was a necessity. Personally, I would have preferred, whether I got this as a gift or purchased it on my own, to pay a bit extra and have the newborn insert included in the original purchase as an accessory. Instead, I had to order it and wait for it to arrive before using my MamaRoo. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal, but not something I wanted to think about while I was trying to manage a newborn as a first time mom. Once the insert arrived, my son was able to fit comfortably in the MamaRoo while being supported appropriately. Perhaps there is a way that people can be informed of the need for the insert when registering or purchasing the MamaRoo, whether in the store or online.

I got the newest version at that time for a baby shower gift (2015) and I didn't realize there was a new born insert that can be added. With my other children I just used the same swing but added a blanket under them for support. So with this new baby, I decided to get one instead of using blankets to support my newborns head and it is the best decision ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KristaL from Great product for small infants! This was a great purchase! My daughter sat kind of scrunched in the swing before we purchase the newborn insert, I feel much more comfortable having this so she’s more supported and I know her airway isn’t impacted by poor posture.

Hi, i would like to ask is it okay if a baby falls asleep in the Mamaroo and  how many hours is safe for a baby to sleep it.  Secondly, while they are sleeping can you keep the motion on until wake up or do you switch it off.

If your baby falls asleep in the mamaRoo and you’re not able to provide the required supervision, we recommend moving the baby to a separate approved sleep surface, such as a crib, playard or bassinet. Refer to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)’s Safe Sleep Guidelines. https://www.cpsc.gov/Safety-Education/Neighborhood-Safety-Network/Posters/Safe-Sleep-for-Babies The mamaRoo is designed to comfort, soothe and entertain your baby. It is not approved for overnight sleep. Short, supervised periods of sleep may occur. In these cases, don’t leave your baby unattended. Even if you’re busy doing something else, make sure you can always see and hear your little one. Additionally don’t pad the mamaRoo with loose pillows or blankets, and ensure your little one is always properly strapped in. Regarding the motions, rather than taking the chance of disturbing your little one with switching off the motions, you can turn off the movements using the 4moms App.

What fabric is used and do you use chemical flame retardant?

All of our products meet the regulations and laws established and enforced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and their regulatory counterparts around the world. 4moms also uses an independent, internationally accredited testing lab to test our products regularly, throughout their life cycle.
